On January 30th, children’s author Adam Shaughnessy ( will visit the Museum of the City of New York to present an evening of magic, mystery, and storytelling based on his Unbelievable FIB series of books. The evening is a fundraiser for The Museum of the City of New York’s Frederick A.O. Schwarz Education Center.

The center serves approximately 50,000 K-12 students and teachers each year, the majority from New York City’s under-resourced public schools. Through field trips, out-of-school time programs, and professional learning workshops, the Center effectively addresses the citywide problem of student underachievement in social studies and teaches children about the city’s rich history and their place in it.
