Visit Newport Rhode Island

Newport, RI
The Breakers Mansion

We recently spent two days in Newport, Rhode Island – to escape the city noise, relax on the beach, visit some vineyards and to attend a fun Polo match.

Newport is truly one of the most beautiful places in America! [no matter what season you go on]. Famous for its stunning shorelines, ocean views, a three-and-a-half mile cliff walk, world-class sailing, and gilded mansions. To me Newport is really an American treasure.

SALVO’S PIZZERIA

Cesar Salad, Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza
Cesar Salad, Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza

We love this little local Italian spot on the UES.

They have great pizzas by the lice. They offer a wide selection of Italian dishes and great salads. Super family friendly, casual and affordable.

Our Favorites

Alejandro loves their cheese slices and their Spaghetti Bolognese , Niki usually asks for Pepperoni and their spaghetti with cheese and butter (great for picky eaters) and when I don’t have their Margarita slice, I love their Stracciatella Soup (egg drop with spinach) or any of their salads!

Buon Appetito!!

And in case you don’t realize it, there’s a huge video screen playing an editorial shot in New York City that flashes the Gilt logo at the end.
